Whose number is this
This number called me and asked me if I wanted to do an online job for his insurance company. We talked for about half an hour and he sounded legit, he sent me a check of $1685 and asked me to deposit in my bank account and to money order this amount to his client. I did. But today I got to know that the check he had sent me had no amount in the bank account. I am scammed 1500$. I am depressed. I am an international student and I have no penny left now, can someone help me?

Today someone answered and said, "hold" I did for 3 mins then hung up. I'm certain they were hoping I'd call back from my cell. I've now blocked the number and consider it a tech scam of some kind. |

| 01419496610 | Received a call from this number at 0920. The caller said they were calling from Windows IT Ltd and that I had a problem with my PC as it was being used by hackers in Canada. The caller said that I must go to my PC and follow his instructions to sort this out immediately. I was suspicious and asked more questions which seemed to anger the caller as they became verbally aggressive and told me if I didn’t co-operate I would be in serious trouble and could be prosecuted and that they were going to close down my PC as it was a risk. I told him I was terminating the call and hung up, only for him to ring straight back and tell me he was sick of “my bloody attitude”. I told him I didn’t believe his call was genuine and to leave me alone. I found the experience very upsetting, so I would imagine their tactics would work on a more vulnerable person. These people are dangerous. |
